Turn your website into a launch video

Your landing page has already done the hard part of a launch video: the headline, the three things your product does, the button. Give Kario the URL and a line on what the video is for, and it builds the video from those words, in your colours and type.

Below is one it made for Hopwren, a group trip planner.

Where each shot came from

  • “Plan the trip together, not in the group chat.” is the page's headline, word for word. The chat it opens on is the problem that headline names.
  • “Vote on everything”, “Every idea on one map” and “Split it as you go” are the page's three section titles, each set beside the screen it describes.
  • The cream, the coral and the serif are the page's own. So is the button on the end card, “Get Hopwren, free”.
  • The poll, the map and the dinner bill are Hopwren's app screens, rebuilt from screenshots as layers, which is why the votes and pins can land on the beat.
  • The four friends in Lisbon aren't on the page. Kario generated that image for the one shot a landing page never has: the trip itself.

What to give Kario

  • Your URL, and a line on what the video is for and where it will be posted.
  • Screenshots of your app, if the product is behind a login. Kario can't sign in.
  • Your logo file, if you want it exact.

What it can't read from a URL

  • Pages behind a login. Upload screenshots instead.
  • Very long pages in full. Kario reads up to about 12,000 characters of text, so point it at the page that matters, or paste the copy you want used.

How it differs from other URL-to-video tools

Many URL-to-video tools turn your page into a presenter reading your copy, or your copy over stock footage. Kario builds motion graphics from your own interface, type and colours, which is what most product launch and demo videos look like.
