Terms and Conditions

By creating an account or using Kario, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Kario on behalf of a company, you agree to them on its behalf.

• You must give accurate information and keep your login details secure.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use Kario.

• Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew until you cancel.
• A single video is a one-time purchase and doesn’t renew.
• Each plan includes the credits and usage listed on the pricing page at the time you buy.
• You can cancel at any time from Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Fix or refund: your first purchase is covered. If the video doesn’t match what you asked for, or the storyboard you approved, email [email protected] within 14 days of paying. We’ll fix it first, and if it still doesn’t match, we’ll refund that purchase in full. It covers one purchase per customer and payment method, and not new changes you ask for afterwards.
• We may change prices with notice. Changes apply from your next billing period.
• Referrals: a friend who signs up through your link gets 20% off their first purchase, and you get one video when they pay, up to 10 a month. Referring yourself or accounts you control doesn’t count, and we may withhold or remove rewards earned that way.

New projects are private: only you and the people you invite can open them. You can choose to share a project with anyone who has the link, or make it public so anyone with the link can also open and remix it.

You keep ownership of what you upload and the videos you make with Kario. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the service, including showing shared and public videos to the people who open them. We do not use your content to train AI models.

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, including logos, images, footage, fonts and music.

You may not use Kario to:

• Make content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, hateful or sexually explicit.
• Impersonate a person or organisation, or mislead people about who made a video.
• Attack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or get around usage limits.
• Resell access to Kario without our written permission.

Kario uses AI to generate scripts, voiceovers, images and footage. AI output can be inaccurate or resemble existing work. Check every video before you publish it. You are responsible for how you use it.

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. We will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

Kario is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suited to a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, Kario is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a revised date and tell you by email about material changes. Continuing to use Kario after that means you accept them.
